This week for homework, read Sacagawea by Lise Erdrich.  By Friday, you should complete three tic-tac-toe activities in your homework notebook.  At the top of each page, you should write the date and title of the story.

Use each vocabulary word on pages 498 and 499 in a sentence.  Each sentence should have at least eight words in it. Complete the Text to Text Activity on page 521. Answer the stop and think question on page 511.  Identify at least three phrases that help you to visualize what is happening.  
Answer the Stop and Think question on page 508.  Identify another example of onomatopoeia. Explain the meaning of the onomatopoeia.   Complete the graphic organizer found on page 501. Using the poems on pages 521 and 522 as inspiration, write a poem of beauty.  
Identify the main idea of the last paragraph of page 506.  Identify two details to support the main idea. Write a letter to Miss Wejman about this story. Your letter must be written in correct format in five or more sentences. Answer the essential question in five or more sentences.
